The fuel filler door hinge connects the fuel door to the base and enables its opening and closing during refueling. Since it is repeatedly operated throughout the vehicle's lifetime, excellent fatigue resistance is required.
Our factory has extensive experience in manufacturing fuel filler door hinges. We operate a 3,000 m² workshop with 35 injection molding workers. We use PA66 reinforced with 20–50% glass fiber. Higher glass fiber content provides increased mechanical strength and rigidity. Both single injection molding and TPV two-shot over-molding processes are available.
The hinge is assembled with the base using a hinge pin, spring, and damper.
A key performance requirement is long cycle life. Our fuel filler door hinge is designed to withstand over 10,000 open-close cycles without failure, ensuring service life that matches or exceeds the vehicle lifespan.
High strength, torsional resistance, and fatigue resistance are fundamental requirements. Smooth operation without sticking or noise is also essential to ensure a premium user experience.
Resistance to gasoline and oil contamination is also required for long-term durability.
Our factory is IATF 16949 certified, and every hinge is inspected before shipment. Free samples are available (shipping cost paid by the customer). The minimum order quantity is 1,000 pieces, with at least 300 pieces per model. Monthly production capacity ranges from 1 to 3 million pieces.
