The main difference between expanding plastic rivets and standard push-in rivets is the hollow core design. This structure allows a screw or positioning post to pass through the center, making them suitable for more complex assembly requirements.
As a result, expanding plastic rivets are widely used in door inner panels, headliners, soundproofing cotton, bumper trim plates, liners, and wire harness applications.
Our factory has 14 years of experience manufacturing expanding plastic rivets. We operate a 3,000 m² workshop with 35 skilled workers specializing in injection molding production.
We use PA66 as the primary material for expanding plastic rivets. It offers excellent heat resistance, strong toughness, and reliable durability without easy breakage. It is also odor-free, meeting automotive interior environmental requirements. In addition, PA66 does not rust, offering a clear advantage over metal fasteners.
The parts are formed in a single injection molding process.
We offer multiple standard sizes:
- Hole diameter: 6 mm, 6.3 mm, 7 mm, 8 mm (8 mm most commonly used)
- Head diameter: 12 mm, 14 mm, 16 mm, 18 mm
- Length options: 10 mm, 12 mm, 15 mm, 18 mm, 20 mm
We focus on ensuring easy installation and high resistance to breakage. Poor-quality rivets may crack during installation, but our material selection and precise molding process effectively prevent this issue.
Each expanding plastic rivet is fully inspected before shipment to ensure consistent quality.
The product supports panel thicknesses from 1.5–5 mm, and hollow inner diameters from 2.5–8 mm, making it compatible with different screw and post sizes.
We offer free samples (shipping cost borne by customer). The minimum order quantity (MOQ) is 1,000 pieces, with a minimum of 300 pieces per size.
